As you know my brother Kyle is my 'special brother'. If that comment offended you then you obviously don't have a 'special brother'. ;) He burst into our lives with his big brown eyes and dark curly hair when he was 5 months old. At that point only God knew the journey we were all about to go on....
Fast forward 20 years...Kyle wants to move onto the next phase of his life and live on his own. My parents found a great place about, 2 hours from Portland, that would provide him the opportunity to have his independence while still having the supervision that he requires.
New Hope Farms is a ranch that has several houses that each house 4 to 6 people plus a 'house manager'. Each resident gets as much or as little help as they require.
As of today Kyle gets to live on his own as a grown up. :) We all know that we know that this is exactly what God has for Kyle but it is very emotional (to say the least) for the rest of us.
Keep him in your prayers as he starts this new journey. :)
Heather that's wonderful news for Kyle, but I know how close you are and I can imagine there were lots of emotions! I hope he loves it there!
